Directions
Here are the directions to our Artists View, Sandhill, Portnablagh, Co. Donegal
If you are using Sat Nav, navigate for Dunfanghy. It is an easy enough route to Dunfanghy – from Belfast, M2 towards Derry and on to Letterkenny.
At Letterkenny you will pick up signs for Dunfanaghy – there are plenty of these, taking you along the N56 past Moutain Top, through Kilmacrenan, Creeslough and finally you will see the town signs for Portnablagh, and the sea in front of you.
The main road swings left (a right turn would take you down to Portnablagh harbour) and curves around until you come to the start of a straight section of road running into Dunfanaghy. Your Sat Nav is probably telling you that you have a mile and a bit to go.
At the beginning of this straight there is a left turn signposted “SANDHILL” – turn left here.
You will see the Mass Rock with two houses in the background – ours is the one to the left of the photo, slightly higher.

2. Look up above the Mass Rock – there are two bungalows. Artists View is the slightly higher one to the your left.
Drive on up the minor road a little until you see a sharp right turn. The new concrete patch at the junction is a good clue.
As soon as you make the sharp turn, you will see the gable end of a bungalow up the hill in front of you. This is our place Artists View!
Hope this makes sense – I am over-complicating a fairly easy route, but some people do struggle to find the house, so I thought I would try the photographs.
